done restoring my RT . took me a long time to make it the way i like it .
did a build first without painting the frame and took it for a test ride . did not like the way it handled
in the corners . did not wanne steer in en when it turned it kinda fell into the corner . took it to a guy
who does frame modifications . he cut off the headstock and welded it on 3 degrees steeper .
made the rearswing arm 5 cm longer . the original rear hub is not that strong and the bearings can come loose .
fitted a rear hub from a Yamaha SR 250 . the RT has original a very small 160 mm front brake . replaced it with
a double sided 180 Grimeca from a silver shotgun . had a aluminum tank made in India . send the guy a sample
tank and got one for free for providing the sample tank .
did a lot of work on the engine to . it is a 490 now . new 78 mm stroke crankshaft and 89,5 mm bore
new gearbox inputshaft that wont brake . straight cut primary drive with a 1.83 ratio to speed up the
gearbox to make life easyer on the gears . reangled the valves in the cylinderhead to put bigger valves in .
took the bike apart last fall and has the frame powdercoated some parts chrome plated and put it back again .
enough bla bla , here some pictures
